Bast Alpha Garrison is the Louisiana branch of the 501st Legion, an international STAR WARS™ costuming organization dedicated to celebrating the STAR WARS universe through the creation, display, and wearing of quality character costumes that represent the villainous characters from the STAR WARS sagas. Bast Alpha Garrison members promote interest in STAR WARS and facilitate the use of their costumes for STAR WARS-related events as well as contributes to the local community through costumed charity and volunteer work.As part of the 501st Legion, Bast Alpha Garrison is an all-volunteer organization formed for the express purpose of bringing together costume enthusiasts under a collective identity within which to operate.
GEEK (formerly Geek Girls with Guns) is a grant foundation to benefit children with Downs Syndrome, Autism, and children of cancer patients with significant financial need with medical, physical therapy and educational needs through the sales of our calendars. It kinda started as a girls day out, and evolved into girls in cosplay with guns. GEEK is a registered 501(c)3 with the State of Louisiana so your donations help our local children.
GEEK raises funds through its sales of Cosplay Calendars. GEEK photographers are always on the lookout for new and fresh faces to help in this worth endeavor.

Through their efforts, a local convention, CyPhaCon has seen great success and growth, local charities have benefited, and their "family" has grown.
The USS NEPTUNE is based in Biloxi, MS and serves the Mississippi Gulf Coast. The mission of the USS NEPTUNE is simple: Create a place for those who enjoy Star Trek and Sci-fi in general to gather and share their love of the genre, give back to the community though charitable activities, promote an interest in science and space exploration and a return of Star Trek to television.
Founded in 2010, the USS NEW ORLEANS considers CONtraflow its "homeport" in the vast sea of conventions in the Gulf South Region. Now a Chapter of the International Federation of Trekkers, this group of Star Trek enthusiasts keep themselves busy with four regular events a month. In addition, they have partnered with several community service organizations helping not only spread the word about Star Trek fandom, but promoting the "spirit" of the show by showing up and helping people.
