Margali Morwentari is a familiar figure to southern sci-fi/fantasy fen as the erstwhile host of Thriller Theatre With Margali and perennial Mistress of Ceremonies at area conventions. "Auntie M" first departed the pages of Mystic Swamp's "Wizards' Realm(tm)" for the Gulf Coast's balmy clime in 1984, and thanks to the warm reception she received from area fandom, things have been balmier ever since. (You've been warned, Couch Pumpkins!)
At 829 years of age (and holding!), Margali still pursues a career in stand-up horror, but has also branched out into print with a series of "Couch Pumpkin Classics" anthologies, the third volume of which is being released in time for Contraflow. (Hey, necromancy doesn't pay like it used to, brave hearts.)
She is accompanied, as always, by her faithful "roadie" Niels Erickson, who has been by turns a freelance cartoonist, game designer, writer, editor, small-press publisher and broadcast personality himself, still trying to figure out what he wants to be when he grows up.
