Victor Gischler earned his Ph.D. in English from the University of Southern Mississippi where they fed him raw liver and beat him with rolled up newspapers. His novels include Vampire A Go-Go, The Deputy, Go-Go Girls of the Apocalypse, Shotgun Opera, and the Edgar-nominated Gun Monkeys. His work has been translated into Italian, French, Japanese, Portuguese, Czech, Turkish and German. He is also under contract with Marvel Comics and has scripted stories for Punisher, Deadpool Corps, Wolverine and X-Men. He lives in Baton Rouge with his wife Jackie and son Emery.
